which is the best entry door lock That cannot be bumped by intruder?
been having trouble with so called private investigator entering my home i was declared permanent totally disabled 3 years ago. they are surveiling me for possible fraud. i had a bad surgery on my back and are very limited in doing everything.i went various times to the police without success had surveillance cameras installed. they came in and put a password on the dvr i cannot access it now please help!!!!!
Lets assume that thats true, because i find it hard to believe that a P.I. would go to the trouble of sneaking into your room just to reprogram your DVR.
Anyway,
Bumping only works on locks that use keys. You could find a special keyed lock that is specially designed to resist bumping or use a lock without keys. Biometric locks for example but if you watch mythbusters they can be fooled. The cheapest solution might be a combination lock or at least a combination padlock.
And do something that can prove that someone did break into your apartment like taping a hair to the door so it breaks when someone opens the door, or something like that. And get an alarm system.
